On Thursday February 18  at 7PM, two-time America's Cup winner, Peter Isler conducted a webinar on the Cabo & Islands Races at his online school: Isler Academy - home of Marine Weather University. The class included a lecture by Peter covering topics including race strategy, optimum routing, safety and much more. Special guest presentations included:

• Cabo Race Climatology and Pacific Coast Weather - by Chris Bedford - American Magic's team meteorologist
• Electronics considerations - by Artie Means - Transpac record holding navigator and Peter's electronics guru. 

This class was initially designed for the Cabo Race - but the Islands Race organizers suggested the course would be appropriate for Islands Race participants too - and we agreed. We have modified the curriculum accordingly. Much of the curriculum was already cogent to any west coast offshore/coastal race.  

Bring the crew - the class is not just for navigators. The more the afterguard, speed team and crew are involved in race prep - the better!
